We all have been doing things the "old way" for as long as we can remember.
The "old way" is reading hours of regulations, wondering if the information you were getting was true or reliable, it is running around fighting with drivers to get into compliance, and the list of unpleasantries goes on, and on, and on...
The "old way" is what our folks call an uphill battle. Sort of like how they claim they walked to school, both ways uphill, in a blizzard... LOL.
Well, we sure got sick and tired of the "old way".
And even more so, we were tired of watching good people lose time and money to the federal government because the "old way" was keeping them from achieving 100% compliance, or even understanding what 100% compliance looks like.
So instead of the "old way", we started doing things "Our Way!"
But, what does that mean, really?
- It means we found a way to take the wordy regulations, and we simplified them. Yes. DOT can be simple, you just have to have the right Pro in your corner.
- Everyone knows it is faster and easier to use a power drill to drive a screw into a 2 x 4. But sometimes you NEED the screwdriver, otherwise, you will split the wood. DOT is no different. When you have the right tools in your tool belt, all of a sudden things feel 10X easier!
- The "old way" meant that when you got audited, it was not IF you got fined, it was HOW MUCH you were going to get fined. As we said, we HATE good people losing their hard-earned money to the government, so we found a way to get through audits without all the stress. Today we have helped over 50 companies pass audits with little to NO fines at all!
- Historically, the "old way" meant DOT compliance rested on the shoulders of ONE person. While it is doable, it is not IDEAL. So we found a way to put compliance back with the drivers and their supervisors and keep them excited to get it done!

Before I was the PRO, I was just like YOU! Well kind of. lol
I got my CDL when I turned 18 years old, and as I like to say, spent the rest of my life trying to get away from trucks. (LOL)
I have held positions from general labor to company executive, and about a dozen positions in between. Some people are all over the place, I have quite literally been in every position imaginable!
At one point, I had become the DOT manager for the largest non-union oil and gas contractor in the United States. They had undergone an audit and were at risk of losing their DOT number altogether!
The boss can to me, knowing I was always up for a challenge and that I had an appetite for challenging tasks, and asked if I would be willing to HELP SAVE the company from being completely shut down.
If you know me, you can imagine my response...
"LET'S DO THIS THING!"
Within three months, that company went from being one of the lowest scores in the nation, under 1% compliance, to being one of the highest safety-rated companies in the nation!
In fact, I took them from under 1% to over 74% compliant in less than 90 days! and all the way up to 98% in less just under a year!
After that journey, I had one of my infamous "AHA!" moments.
I saw a need for compliance solutions that weren't as complex as the regulations and I noticed that people were wanting to follow the rules, but the government made the rules too complicated to understand in the first place.
So I stepped out on my own, and Eclipse DOT was born!
